Por eso, nos hemos preguntando cuáles son los lugares más instagrameados del mundo y la conclusión es clara: Nueva York, París y Londres son los auténticos reyes del postureo turístico instagramero. Estos son los 17 puntos turísticos que superan el millón de fotos etiquetadas:
El parque más famoso del mundo concentra, bajo el hashtag #centralpark, nada más y nada menos que 3.970.422 fotos. El pulmón verde de Nueva York es uno de los lugares favoritos de los neoyorquinos y una visita imprescindible para los turistas.

Quizá la visión más icónica del mundo sea la de la torre Eiffel alzándose hacia el cielo de París. De hecho, si los hashtags se unificaran, tendría el récord mundial, pero tienen que repartirse entre las 2.906.319 imágenes etiquetadas en inglés (#eiffeltower) y las 1.421.577 en francés (#toureiffel). Si Nueva York y París tienen Central Park y la Torre Eiffel, Londres tiene el Big Ben, el reloj favorito de quienes visitan la ciudad, a juzgar por los 2.055.215 fotos que encontramos con el hashtag #bigben.

We've had some really murky weather across Britain during the past few days...and the first frost of the season has been forecast. We love this photo of Britain. We rarely feature black and white shots but the atmosphere here is wonderful. Mind you, in the past this wasn't a romantic sight for those living in the capital. Over 60 years ago, London was in the grips of "The Great Smog". A toxic fog smothered the British capital, paralyzing the city and blackening out the sun. It began on the morning of December 5th 1952. It had been cold in the capital for weeks, so as Londoners awoke the first thing they did was light their coal fireplaces. As the day went on, a light veil of fog began to cover St Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben and the Tower of London. By the early evening, the fog had turned a sickly shade of yellow as it mixed with the thousands of tons of soot being pumped into the skies by all the chimneys and industrial smokestacks in the city. Because there was a high-pressure system over London, a temperature inversion prevented the smoke from rising. Worse - there was no wind to disperse the soot-laden deadly soup. It was a disaster for the city. Sadly an estimated 4,000 Londoners died because of the toxic air. Burglaries and purse snatchings increased as emboldened criminals easily vanished into the cloaking darkness. Birds lost in the fog crashed into buildings. The smog seeped inside as well. Movie theaters even closed as the yellow haze made it impossible for ticket-holders to see the screen! It felt like the city had returned to Victorian times. Finally, on December 9, 1952, a cold wind from the west swept the toxic cloud away from London and out to the North Sea. Possibly to Denmark. Sorry Denmark. El rascacielos más famoso de Nueva York es otra víctima de la falta de unificación de hashtags. Estaría bastante más arriba en la clasificación si sumáramos las 1.332.113 que acumula #empirestatebuilding y las 767.208 de #empirestate. Sin duda, las mejores vistas de Nueva York (con permiso del Rockefeller Center) lo merecen.
